Valve has announced yesterday the immediate release of the new Steam client in beta version. If you are interested in testing this new Steam you can click here and follow the instructions to download the new client.

New features include redesigned UI, new web browser engine (about time Valve!!) based on webkit, built in achievement list, network usage, redesign of the overlay UI for in game Steam experience. You will also be able to see what you friends have been buying lately and we should also get a better Store/Client integration.

So good news isn’t it? Specificaly the browser upgrade, could not bear using ie6 engine anymore.

Starcraft 2 Beta invites, got one!

Yes we’ve got one! As per the last article about Starcraft we published, the beta has now been released to a selection of public tester. And Blizzard was kind enough to answer our prayers.

So far so good. The game is as good is it gets and actually playing is it we feel is it the same as the first opus but looking much much better. If you like RTS, this is the one you will play forever, or until the next one comes out.

The match finder is not yet very good though and every match we’ve played we’ve been annihilated, even if it was supposed to be “skill match”. But wait and see.

ATi entry level 5670, f***ing good value for money

The new ATI 5670 is indeed a great piece of kit. The directX11 compatible graphic card from AMD uses the same architecture and processes (40nm) as the 5700 series but cost much less.

Targeting the mid range gaming sector with good graphics but low price the card is expected to be sold for less than $100. The specs are decent as well with a 775Mhz clock speed, DDR5 memory at 1Ghz 512Mb or 1Gb. Three output possible HDMI, VGA and DVI. ANd of course HD capable.

The value for money is hard to beat on this one.
